The song “Mr. Sandman” was at the top of the Billboard charts in 1954—and was the biggest hit for the popular all-girl, Sheboygan, Wisconsin-based quartet, “The Chordettes.” The group appeared regularly on radio and television shows, starting in the late 1940s, and performed on the first national broadcast of the “American Bandstand” music-performance show in 1957.

The “Luddite Link” above is a non-electrical-link, or “NEL,” that requires “activation” before it can operate properly. In order to activate a “Luddite Link” you must first manually “prime” your computer’s ICP (Internet Connectivity Pump) until a “transmission-grade charge-state” has been reached.
