How to Synchronize a Facebook Cover Photo
with a Facebook Profile Photo

You’re done! Just check that the “160x160-profile-photo-test-image.png” file fits perfectly to the immediate right of the upper “138-pixels” reference-rectangle that has remained after “cropping.”

Testing of “160x160-profile-photo-test-image.png” on “851x315-cover-photo.png.”

If the “160x160-profile-photo-test-image.png” file fits ok, then “delete” it from your Cover photo, along with the “138-pixels” reference-rectangle to its left, and you are left with your “851x315 pixels” Facebook Cover photo—that you can “Save” as, say, “851x315-cover-photo.png.”

Note: Before deleting the “160x160-profile-photo-test-image.png” file from the Cover photo in the step above, you could have chosen to add a “border” around the “160x160-profile-photo-test-image.png” file, to enhance the “4-pixel” border that Facebook automatically surrounds a Profile photo with:

In the “screenshot” above, you can see an “8-pixel” white border that has been added around the Profile-photo section of the Cover photo.
