How to Synchronize a Facebook Cover Photo
with a Facebook Profile Photo

It's time to “crop” your “180x180 pixels” Facebook Profile photo.

Move the “958x380.png” Rectangular-Template around on the “1260x1260 pixels” square image below it until you find an area on the square image that you would like to use as your Facebook Profile photo, remembering that the Profile photo will be “cropped” to the immediate right of the “23x180 pixels” reference-rectangle that is in the lower-left-hand corner of the “958x380.png” Rectangular-Template.

Make sure that no part of the “958x380.png” Rectangular-Template overlaps any border of the “1260x1260 pixels” square image. Keeping your rectangle within the borders of the “1260x1260 pixels” square image will ensure that you have enough of an area to “crop” your Cover photo from later.

Once you find an area suitable for your Profile photo, adjust the “958x380.png” Rectangular-Template so that the “23x180 pixels” reference-rectangle in the lower-left-hand corner of the Rectangular-Template is immediately to the left of your selected “180x180 pixels” area, and then “separate” the reference-rectangle from the “958x380.png” Rectangular-Template.

Now, “delete” the “background” of the “958x380.png” Rectangular-Template from the “1260x1260 pixels” square image—the “background” is the “blue area” in this example—leaving behind the “23x180 pixels” reference-rectangle.
